Villa Balbiano is one of the most glamorous properties on the Como Lake. Villa Balbiano was built in the 16th century by cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, further embellished by Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini and still preserves the original frescoes painted by the Recchi brothers and Agostino Silva.
