Aubrey and Sam traveled from the Tennessee countryside to the snowy Austrian Alps to celebrate their marriage. The couple, inspired by the Sound of Music, opted for the historic Schloss Leopoldskron as their wedding venue. Nestled just outside of the picturesque town of Salzburg and at the base of the mountains, this exquisite Rococo palace floats romantically above a postcard-worthy lake, creating an ambiance almost too beautiful for words.
Their elopement was all about enjoying the beauty of nature and architecture, and taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate the unique European charm. They started with a few relaxed days in the idyllic Alps town of Salzburg, with the symbolic ceremony and photo shoot at Schloss Leopoldskron as the highlight of their stay. The journey continued at the famous Hotel Sacher Salzburg and Hotel Sacher Vienna, ending with an after-wedding shoot at some of Vienna’s landmarks in the city center, like the Albertina Museum with its incredible views over the State Opera House, the Palmenhaus and Gerstner Cafe.

All I knew at the beginning of planning was that I wished for a cold weather location and a tea party on my wedding day. Irene took care of these and all the many, many other details. She made all my wishes a reality at Schloss Leopoldskron, where she coordinated a stunning wedding tea party better than I could have imagined! I was able to truly relax on my wedding day knowing Irene would handle every step to perfection. She also handled other travel details I needed help with and provided excellent local recommendations in Salzburg and Vienna.
It was a delight working with Irene. After all of our planning, unfortunately our wedding had to be postponed one year due to COVID. However, I never worried knowing we had High Emotion Weddings planning our day. It only allowed me more time to get to know Irene 🙂 Now I am just hoping I can come up with another reason to use High Emotion Weddings in the future…anniversary party perhaps?!”

Aubrey and Sam had their “first look” right at the ceremony – an homage to their 13 years together, a symbolic ceremony held in the renowned Max Reinhardt Library of the castle.
