A surprise marriage proposal, from Mexico to Vienna
She was travelling with her parents in Europe and had no idea of the amazing surprise that was waiting for her once they arrived in Vienna. He approached me about one month before to plan something breath-taking for his marriage proposal.
We were lucky enough to have her parents as accomplices, and the adventure started at the famous Cafe Central with an apparently normal touristic activity: having some cake and coffee there. But she got a special message delivered by the waiter: a gorgeous flower bouquet and a calligraphy note saying “You look so beautiful in that dress. I love you with all my heart. R”. Shortly after that, R showed up in flesh and bones. The surprise was huge, since he was supposed to be back home. However, she was still thinking that it was all just for her birthday.
A few minutes later they arrived to the City Palace Liechtenstein (also part of their supposedly touristic itinerary), where all the magic was going to happen: he proposed in the middle of an amazing imperial golden room – the Square Room – with the sound of live classical music played by the very talented quartet Art4Strings. They ended the evening with a horse carriage ride and a dinner at the Opus Restaurant at Hotel Imperial Vienna.
